Reflection of Media Art Class 1st Semester

So fair media arts class for me is fun, but all we do now is to make podcasts all week. When we stated I loved it, I remember when we use to make our podcasts with garageband.  Then we moved on to IMovie and we use music in the podcast. Kerpoof is one of our programs we use on our podcast and video record. I know that our podcasts are going to be more better and will be the best at the end of the year.

Joe S Consume
clarity of speech
(Can understand every word spoken. Not too fast nor too slow. )

creative look
(the title, images, video and credits are all easy to see and make you want to look at the podcast. Illustrations are related to the word or sentence and feel original and fresh. The credits don’t go by too quickly and are readable. There’s a sense that the whole podcast has the same theme and look)

creative production
(The music adds quality to the podcast. It’s not too loud nor too soft. You can hear speech over the music easily.  The speed of the podcast is even and flows without blank spots or awkward cuts. There’s something interesting about the way it’s all put together. The Kerpoof picture is relevant to the word and a sentence and makes the podcast more interesting)
including all requirements

(This week’s requirement was to use a Kerpoof picture with a cartoon that used at least one of the words. Great means they used more than one. There also must be
1.     definition
2.     WG sentence
3.     Original sentence
4.     Credits  with no last names
5.     Bibliography with name of web site and urls
6.     Document named the word)
Great

Needs a little work

(example – The title animation is kind of slow and it seems to jerk a bit. The pictures are really good and match the words. I wish you hadn’t changed the background color in the credits.)

Needs a lot of work or isn’t there at all

This is the I made on kerpoof and I have a chance that my teammates are using my picture in the podcast this week. I think that I did good on my picture, because I  use all 5 words from this weeks word generation. The words for this week are contaminated, advantage, generation derive, and consume. Kerpoof wasn't that bad and this picture is like one of the best picture I ever made. The only thing you do at kerpoof is to pick a background and drag items in like the house and the animals. I will use kerpoof more and make more picture for my team to use on other podcasts. Kerpoof is a good website for us to make pictures and is a good way to kill time if your bored.

Week 7: Reflection

On week 7 my word was embryo and I didn't know what that word meant.  My partners are Connor and Aquarius. Both of them worked hard together and I did well too. We made our whole podcast this week with a camera. I found out that its a lot more fun recording with a camera than recording on the computer. Connor was the one that worked on the computer and Aquarius was working on the animation and I was working on the definition and the sentences. Soon we recorded the podcast and is about to upload it here. I'm going to record the whole thing again on my next podcast.

What I Learned About Podcasting

In media arts I learned a lot of new things I can do on a computer. For example I learned how to make a animation on powerpoint and learned how to make a video with imovie and garageband. I only use my computer for  games, movies, and chatting. Now I can make a video and animation on computers. I learned how to type faster now, because we type everyday in class. I enjoy going to media arts and working with friends and new people.

Welcome to Joe's Blog!

These blog will be my very first blog and my media teacher introduced me to blogger. My whole class made a blog for class, because it was one of my homework assignment. I don't really know why we're doing this, but I need to, because its a classwork. The truth is I don't like writing and typing that much. I use computers for movies and chatting mostly.
